There are so many things that we don’t know about the wild animals. But we always have the curiosity to know more about them. People of all ages get fascinated by the strange facts of wild animals. So here is a fact file with some fascinating wild animal facts.

1. Certain species of Parrot Fish wear their own version of pajamas every night. These fish create a transparent cocoon made of mucous at night. Some scientists suggest that this is done to mask their scent from nocturnal predators.

2. The fur of Polar Bear is rather thicker than that of any bear – even covering its feet for warmth and easy movement on the ice. Polar Bear also have thicker layer of blubber (fatty tissue between muscles and skin) which helps them float in water and keeps them warm while doing so.

3. Over 80 percent of Hippo’s communication is done below the water, using clicks and whistles similar to that of Dolphins.

4.The male Platypus has sharp stingers on the heels of his rear feet and a strong blow from the animal can be fatally poisonous to any attacker.

5.The giant River-Otter is world’s largest Otter and approximately 1.8m. long. It is found only in the rivers and creeks of the Amazon, Orinoco, and La Plata river systems in South America.

Though there’s an endless list of interesting wild animal facts and we are curious to know about many things; but I hope this five point small list managed to entertain my readers a little.
